The Southside Panthers will square off against the Glenwood Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southside's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last ten matchups.
Southside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Cottage Hill Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 39-22. Southside's win was all the more impressive since the Warriors were averaging only 13 points allowed on the season.

His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 183 receiving yards. Kole Moody was another key player, having thrown for 382 yards and two touchdowns.
Southside's run defense was locked in: Cottage Hill Christian Academy could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Michael Hosea stood above the rest. Southside's defense also made the game a nightmare for Shamar Toodle, racking up 11 sacks. Hosea led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself. Thanks to that big game, Aarron Bonner is now up to 10 sacks on the season.
Meanwhile, Glenwood had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 40-7. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won eight games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Southside better focus on containing Trey Claridy and Nate Malone as the pair were huge in Glenwood's win. Claridy rushed for 154 yards and three scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while Malone rushed for 166 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. What's more, Claridy racked up 76 passing yards, the most he's had since back in August.
Southside's record is now 12-0. As for Glenwood, their record now sits at 10-2.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Southside has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 411.6 passing yards per game. Glenwood, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 196.1 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
