Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Davis walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Casady Cyclones a 49-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Wolves have won seven games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Davis pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Casady, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
