It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Torrance Tartars had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past Hemet 10-7. The win was nothing new for Torrance as they're now sitting on five straight.
Despite the loss, Hemet still got an impressive performance from Daniel Mendoza, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown. Mendoza is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Torrance is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Hemet, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 9-4.
