The Longview Lobos had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Reedy 52-14 on the road. Longview might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.
Longview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelvin Washington, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 66 receiving yards. Washington was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Tatum, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
The win was the 11th in a row for Longview, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.45 points. As for Reedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Longview will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. Lancaster is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Reedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
