Football Recap: Everett Gets the Win

Everett won the last time they faced Moshannon Valley, and Jakobe Harman did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors managed a 26-20 win over the Black Knights/Damsels on Friday thanks in part to Harman, who rushed for 280 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 176 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Several Black Knights/Damsels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Abernethy, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Abernethy was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 54 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Mihalko, who threw for 249 yards and two TDs.

Everett's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Moshannon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-19 loss against Berlin Brothersvalley on the 5th. As for Moshannon Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-0 win against Southern Huntingdon County on the 5th.
