North Wake S kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Albemarle Bulldogs and fell 49-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albemarle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aj Butler, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Another back making a difference was Treyvian Legrande, who rushed for 59 yards and one TD.
Albemarle has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, North Wake S will head out on the road to challenge Harrells Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Albemarle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
