The Keller Central Chargers entered their tilt with the Timber Creek Falcons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Keller Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over Timber Creek on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Keller Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Blair led the charge by scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. Blair is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Daemon, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Stern, who scored 17 points. Dj Bell was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Keller Central's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Timber Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keller Central will square off against Keller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Keller's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Timber Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southlake Carroll will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
