The Fairwinds Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concord Christian Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fairwinds Christian in their matchups with Concord Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Jaiden Rajis and Levi Rajis certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Rajis dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Rajis scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Concord Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Keavon Bailey - Homeschool, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlin Hollis - Homeschool, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Fairwinds Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Concord Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairwinds Christian will take on Greenwood Mennonite at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood Mennonite has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Concord Christian Academy is on the road again on Thursday and plays Calvary Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on February 8th. Concord Christian Academy is facing Calvary Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Calvary Christian Academy is stuck on a 11-game losing streak.
