The Wisdom Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by Madison 94-54. While losing is never fun, Wisdom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1604th, while Madison is ranked 320th).
Madison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marquez Hubbard-chenault, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, ten assists, and ten steals. Hubbard-chenault has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. Joe Whylie was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with two steals.
Wisdom has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Madison, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sterling the next time they take the court. Wisdom will head out to face Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Madison will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
