It's playoff time, and Bremen had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Jimtown Jimmies, posting a 53-16 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 23 points or more this season.
Bremen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eliana Grubbs led the charge by going 7 for 13 to rack up 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Kincaid, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.
Grubbs wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Bremen was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jimtown only posted three assists.
Despite the defeat, Jimtown saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kiera Jackson scored five points and five boards. Jackson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
The victory was the 13th in a row for Bremen, bringing their record for this year to 22-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points over those games. As for Jimtown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.
Bremen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-27 win against LaVille on the 7th. Jimtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
