Nitro has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the St. Albans Red Dragons at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Nitro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Last Friday, everything went Nitro's way against Sissonville as Nitro made off with a 58-37 win. The win was just what Nitro needed coming off of a 69-46 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nitro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Smith, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Jones, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Albans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Archbishop Carroll, falling 69-35.
Nitro now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Albans, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.
Nitro was able to grind out a solid win over St. Albans in their previous matchup back in February, winning 48-41. Will Nitro repeat their success, or does St. Albans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
