MCCOMB, Miss. -
Pearl River Central (Carriere, Miss.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 52-18 victory over McComb (Miss.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Desmond Michel in the first quarter, the Blue Devils led 28-6 at the half.
Pearl River Central expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. PRC scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Garret Duplechain.
Steven Kubicki played well for the Carriere school in the victory. The senior ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
The defeat comes as a step back for McComb, which notched a 36-29 victory over Pearl in its previous outing.
