The Reno Huskies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bishop Manogue, falling 37-7. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Reno in their matchups with Bishop Manogue: they've now lost six in a row.
Cody Fleischmann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Manogue, rushing for 237 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Fleischmann is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Dom Marconato was another key contributor, picking up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Reno's loss on Friday dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bishop Manogue, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reno will take on McQueen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (McQueen is ranked 23rd, while Reno is ranked 28th). As for Bishop Manogue, they will be playing at home against Damonte Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Damonte Ranch comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
