The Elkhorn Antlers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past York 64-44. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Elkhorn has managed all season.
Elkhorn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Comstock led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Lamski, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, York still got an impressive performance from Leyton Snodgrass, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Snodgrass scored a full 45.5% of York's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Riley Clark, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, York were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Elkhorn's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for York, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Elkhorn's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ralston at 7:15 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Ralston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. York will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Aurora on December 15th.
