Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denby). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Detroit Collegiate Prep 48-0. The Tars haven't had any issues with Detroit Collegiate Prep recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
It was another big night for Christopher Kendrick, who threw for 215 yards and six TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 55 yards on only five carries. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyree Robinson, who gained 140 total yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Denby's defense and their 6.5 sacks. Kenneth Mcclinton was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
