Alamo Navajo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scotty Guerro, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Guerro hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Jacob Apache was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Hondo Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Alamo Navajo, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.
Hondo Valley will head out on the road to take on Alamo Navajo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Alamo Navajo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
