Central Connecticut III West recap December 3, 2013
Rocky Hill extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III West this week by beating Northwest Catholic, 21-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
East Catholic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,878 from 11,153. The advance stemmed from a 58-26 victory over Cheney RVT last week.
Chris Young provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Rocky Hill defeated the Indians.
Young was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 147 yards as David Coyne's team lost to David Coyne's team. Teammate Grant Nieves added to the ground attack by rushing for 84 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Christian Flynn of Michael Tyler's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,304. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jordan Shakes. The Weaver star has 40 catches for 653 yards.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week by notching 58 points on the Beavers.
