Freedom had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 70-61 win over the T.C. Roberson Rams. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Rams are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

T.C. Roberson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dean Lowe, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Sierra, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 23 points and three steals.

Freedom's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for T.C. Roberson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-50 defeat against Asheville Christian Academy on the 28th. As for T.C. Roberson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-57 loss against West Caldwell on the 28th.
