The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They blew past Parkdale, posting a 35-0 victory at home. Considering Eleanor Roosevelt has won six contests by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Eleanor Roosevelt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamal Ali led the charge by throwing for 170 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Donte Howard, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Eleanor Roosevelt's win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Parkdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Eleanor Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Flowers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Flowers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Eleanor Roosevelt likes a good challenge. Parkdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
