The Lakeland Christian Vikings extended their postseason success on Tuesday against the Pine Knights. Their defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Lakeland Christian sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ella Williams and
K.j. Straub, who scored both of Lakeland Christian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 29 so far this season.
Lakeland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3-1 record this season. As for Pine, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
Lakeland Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Jupiter Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Jupiter Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lakeland Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
