Neumann's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia McCartney, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. McCartney has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylee Van de wouw, who scored ten points along with four steals and three blocks.
Bonita Springs' loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.6 points per game. As for Neumann, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
Bonita Springs was dealt a bruising 64-19 loss at the hands of Neumann in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Thankfully for Bonita Springs, Leah Martin-gonzales (who scored 15 points along with eight steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
