The Friends Academy Quakers came tearing into Monday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Clarke 69-46. Friends Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.
Friends Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson O'Brien, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Bock, who scored seven points along with seven assists and two steals.
Friends Academy pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Clarke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Friends Academy will square off against Woodmere Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clarke will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
