The Holy Cross Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Whitefield Academy 67-42. Fans of Holy Cross have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holy Cross to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Hand, who scored 14 points along with 5 steals. The game was Hand's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Myers, who scored 12 points along with 3 blocks.
Holy Cross pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Whitefield Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Holy Cross will head out on the road to face off against Beth Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Beth Haven focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Louisville Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
