Everett's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Fannett Metal with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Trevon Reaugh looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Levi Cornell was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lucas, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs.
Everett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Chestnut Ridge hadn't done well against Bedford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Lions walked away with a 6-3 win over the Bisons. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly three runs.
Brody Halkovich made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Yatta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Garrett Weyandt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Chestnut Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Everett, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everett was able to grind out a solid victory over Chestnut Ridge when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 6-2. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
