Sidney Barill had a dynamite game, getting 34 digs and three aces. Those 34 digs gave her a new career-high. Jo Becker also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Basalt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Coal Ridge won the last time they faced Vail Mountain and Chloe Coon did her part to make sure it happened again. The Titans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rangers on Tuesday with plenty of help from Coon, who had 21 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Basalt's record now sits at 4-5. As for Coal Ridge, their record is now 11-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Basalt has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Coal Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Basalt was able to grind out a solid win over Coal Ridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
