The Bloomington Purple Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-42 victory over Lanphier. The win was some much needed relief for Bloomington as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Leading Bloomington to victory were Lauren Shuey and Sosi Dadekian. Shuey scored 12 points along with six steals, while Dadekian scored 18 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dadekian has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Skeate, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Bloomington's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Lanphier, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Bloomington will be playing in front of their home fans against Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lanphier, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Lincoln's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Lanphier has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
