The Wayne Country Day Chargers won the last time they faced the Wayne Christian Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Wayne Country Day took down Wayne Christian 68-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wayne Country Day.
It was another big night for Kayleb Coles, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyhiem Jones, who scored 12 points.
Wayne Country Day has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season. As for Wayne Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Wayne Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greenfield at 8:00 p.m. on February 9th. Greenfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Wayne Country Day likes a good challenge.
