Jordan is 1-9 against American Fork since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Beetdiggers will challenge the Cavemen at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Jordan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Layton. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beetdiggers.

KADE CARTER made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jordan is 9-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise. CARTER was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, BECKHAM LIVINGSTON was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. CJ SUMNER also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask American Fork). They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Farmington on Thursday. The Cavemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Cache Poulson was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kenny Johnson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs and one double.
Jordan's record is now 15-12. As for American Fork, their record now sits at 19-8.
Jordan suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to American Fork in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
