Given Dumont's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Fort Lee is ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fort Lee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Guy Vickers, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jacob Greenberg, who scored nine points.
Dumont's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5. As for Fort Lee, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Dumont will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgefield Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Lee, they will head out on the road to challenge Paramus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Paramus is on a five-game streak of home losses, Fort Lee a ten-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
