The Fort Calhoun Pioneers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Raymond Central on Saturday. Fort Calhoun has not had much luck with Raymond Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bria Bench, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeann Massey, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Fort Calhoun's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Raymond Central, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Fort Calhoun will head out on the road to face off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Raymond Central will take on Conestoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conestoga has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
