Western Reserve is 0-10 against Mapleton since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Roughriders will square off against the Mounties at 5:00 p.m. Mapleton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Western Reserve, who comes in off a win.
Western Reserve took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Open Door Christian get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The matchup marked the Roughriders' most dominant win of the season.
Maylee Wetzel was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.
