Lutheran North had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Bishop Foley on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Ventures a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Mustangs have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Addison Wodowski, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Winarski, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Lutheran North's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Bishop Foley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Coincidentally, Lutheran North and Bishop Foley will both be playing Dearborn the next time they take the field. The Ventures will host the Pioneers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
