Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Rockland

North Rockland waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Clarkstown North Rams get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Maddie Burns's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reese Calvario was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Melody Nardone also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

North Rockland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Rockland's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Clarkstown North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither North Rockland nor Clarkstown North have any future games scheduled.
