Granbury hasn't had much luck against Ryan recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Raiders at 9:00 a.m. Granbury will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Chisholm Trail came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Granbury, but Kyndal Cardwell wouldn't allow it. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Rangers 2-1 for which the team can thank Cardwell, who had 30 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.
Granbury had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-10.
Meanwhile, Ryan earned a 2-0 win over Mansfield Summit on Friday.
Ryan easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13.
Ryan's win came from a few key players Granbury will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Abigail Vasquez, who had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven games. Preslie Shiflett was another key player, getting 15 digs.
Ryan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Granbury's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Ryan, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Granbury has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Ryan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
