Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Arlington couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Christian Defenders on Saturday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Ahdrie Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ryleigh Pliego was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Arlington nor Valley Christian have any future games scheduled.
