Luck/Frederic dropped down to 6-10 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Turtle Lake/Clayton Titans, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 back in April.

Marissa Owens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered 13 runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Luck/Frederic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Carter, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Taylor Hansford also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Considering they have won 14 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Turtle Lake/Clayton's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Katelyn Pabst gave up only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Turtle Lake/Clayton got a big performance out of Ella Robertson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ashlyn Hubbard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Coming up, Luck/Frederic is taking a road trip to challenge Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, they will host Grantsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
