After losing to North Farmington the last time they met, Walled Lake Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings walked away with  a   7-2  victory over the Raiders  on Wednesday.

 Katelynn Cole made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 15 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 6.4  strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple. That  triple marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cameron Zaid, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those  stolen bases were  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Combs, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Walled Lake Central  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  contests.
Walled Lake Central now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Farmington, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Coming up, Walled Lake Central will welcome Walled Lake Western  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for North Farmington, they will head out to  take on Adams  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be the Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
