After flying high against the Augusta Orioles last Tuesday, the Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks came back down to earth. Bishop Seabury Academy took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Baldwin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bishop Seabury Academy has scored all season.
Bishop Seabury Academy lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chase Honarvar, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Honarvar is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jace Hoffman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Baldwin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Talan Torrez led the charge by scoring 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Torrez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Ziembicki, who scored 19 points.
Bishop Seabury Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Seabury Academy will take on Wellsville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wellsville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Baldwin, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Augusta at 2:30 p.m.
