Section 11 Division IV recap October 29, 2013
Babylon added to the longest winning streak in Section 11 Division IV this week by beating Mercy, 41-6. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Panthers.
Center Moriches was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Red Devils vanquished Southampton 45-14 earlier in the week.
Shoreham-Wading River's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Danny Hughes has thrown for 535 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Mitch Identsohn has 8 catches for 229 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when John Glenn takes on Center Moriches. At the moment, the Knights are in sixth, while the Red Devils are in second.
John Glenn scaled the state rankings by moving to 313 from 361 this week, the biggest jump in Section 11 Division IV. David Shanahan's team was able to move up by besting Shoreham-Wading River 21-18.
