The Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights came into Thursday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 89-49 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Georgia Force Christian has managed all season.
Georgia Force Christian was led to victory by Cj Britt and Carter Mccarn. Britt scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Mccarn scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Mccarn is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 21 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Colin Erege, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Georgia Force Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Varsity Opponent, their loss was their 19th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 352-1272-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgia Force Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Fideles Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Blue Knights like a good challenge. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st.
