Kohelet Yeshiva had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 65-41 win. The result was nothing new for Kohelet Yeshiva, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Kohelet Yeshiva had a senior duo take command as Asher Kahlon scored 21 points and Daniel Benjamini scored 17 points. The matchup was Kahlon's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Liss, who scored nine points.
Kohelet Yeshiva's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Varsity Opponent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 165-600-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kohelet Yeshiva will be home for the holidays to greet Girard College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Young Kids In Motion at 12:00 p.m. on December 17th.
