The Amistad Wolves waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 52-29 margin over Platt RVT. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Amistad has posted since December 12, 2023.
Leading Amistad to victory were Kelis Culbreath and LaShaya Patterson. Culbreath scored 19 points along with four steals, while Patterson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Culbreath has scored all season. Fatema Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Amistad now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Platt RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Amistad will head out on the road to challenge Middletown at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Platt RVT won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Abbott RVT at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
