The Olathe Northwest Ravens fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Shawnee Mission North 10-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Olathe Northwest also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Merak Greinert threw for 164 yards on 11 of 23 attempts. Mason Schlittenhard was his top target, picking up 122 receiving yards.
Olathe Northwest's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Shawnee Mission North, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olathe Northwest will square off against Blue Valley Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shawnee Mission North, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Valley West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Valley West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Shawnee Mission North in Kansas (Blue Valley West is ranked 21st, while Shawnee Mission North is ranked 90th).
