Delaware County Christian extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-11 in the process. They came up short against Plumstead Christian, falling 24-14. Even though they lost, the Knights' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Delaware County Christian got a massive performance out of Corina Debellis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Amicone, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
As for Plumstead Christian, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Plumstead Christian's side, Olivia Incudine was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Incudine was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Madison Edgerton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Coming up, Delaware County Christian will head out on the road to square off against Collegium Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
