The Coolidge Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Tanque Verde Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coolidge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Coolidge was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Miami, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Aubriana Cavazos, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Azaria White, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Coolidge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miami only posted a batting average of .290.
Meanwhile, Tanque Verde faced Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The win was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.
Ella Haggard was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Fukunaga, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Coolidge's record is now 2-3-2. As for Tanque Verde, their record now sits at 4-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Coolidge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Tanque Verde struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Coolidge couldn't quite finish off Tanque Verde in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
