Raymond was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 2B Pacific. Earlier in the week, the Gulls triumphed over North Beach 28-6.
South Bend fell to Ocosta 28-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Raymond's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rayce Newman threw for 74 and 1 touchdown and Marvin So had 31 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Sida chipped in 125 yards. Sida helped Raymond's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
Robert Clements' team's dynamic duo of Newman and So proved tough for the Hyaks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sida helped Raymond's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
Sida was a passing and rushing force as the Gulls topped North Beach. Sida's key target this week was So, who caught 2 passes for 31 yards.
Willapa Valley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Konigsberger has thrown for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Trevor Cook has 2 catches for 46 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Willapa Valley takes on Todd Bridge's team. The Vikings' offense has racked up 128 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Hyaks have allowed only 54 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Beach takes on Willapa Valley. The Hyaks are currently in second, while Greg Wonhoff's team is in third.
