Softball Recap: Sullivan's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Mattoon last Thursday, Sullivan came back down to earth. Sullivan took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pana Panthers on Friday. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sullivan saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Stinson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Taylar Mercer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Sullivan's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pana, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan will take on St. Anthony at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pana, they will challenge Newton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
