The Jackson Christian Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the University School of Jackson Bruins  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after  three-games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
 Last Friday, Jackson Christian humbled  Goodpasture Christian with  a  42-14 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.
 Jackson Christian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Duece Lawrence, who rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Lawrence got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 62 yards. Another back making a difference was  Jay'Len Mosley, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, University School of Jackson got the win against Trinity Christian Academy  on Friday by a conclusive  35-13. Fans of the Bruins have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  point.
 Jackson Christian pushed their record up to 3-0 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for University School of Jackson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.
 Everything came up roses for Jackson Christian against University School of Jackson when the teams last played  back in September of 2023 as the  team secured  a  41-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson Christian since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
