Valley Head lost against Oakwood Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Monday. The Valley Head Tigers had to suffer through a   115-59 loss at the hands of the Oakwood Academy Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings  (they are ranked 431st, while the Mustangs are ranked 149th).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakwood Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Chris Callender, who  went 11 for 17  en route to 22 points and six  rebounds. That's the most  boards  Callender has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Austin Germono, who  went 9 of 20  on his way to 24  points along with six  assists and five  steals.
Valley Head dropped their record down to 2-20 with the  loss, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Oakwood Academy,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 19-8.
 Valley Head has  already played their next  match (against Section), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oakwood Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  68-62  win against Madison Academy on the 28th.
