Walnut is 7-0 against Wilson since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Walnut Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Wilson Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Walnut's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Wilson has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Tuesday, Walnut ended up a good deal behind Los Altos and lost 55-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walnut has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Walnut had strong showings from Nathan Yen, who scored 13 points, and Cory Fluker, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Wilson came up short against Rowland on Tuesday and fell 59-50.
Walnut's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7. As for Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Walnut strolled past Wilson in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-36. Will Walnut repeat their success, or does Wilson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
